My pressing is not terrible by any means. The packaging and presentation is all very nice. I recently got a copy of the Warner Bros Records reissue, though, and that one does sound considerably better than this.

Never had all these constant problems with pressings when majority of them were black vinyl did we.

My copy seems a mix of.this version and the previous. Matrix font is same as this 10 stamped in mdul sid and print on the.cd is same of previous press

No issues with my pressing. I pre-ordered my copy a couple of months before it was released. Maybe that's the difference?

Horrible pressing full of noise and cracks, I can't recommend it.

Disappointed to report that mine is a dud also. Should not be surprised based on everything below. It was gifted to me so I guess I should not be too upset. Load of surface noise, pops, ticks, hiss. Most disappointingly a skip on the Nightingale that I cannot seem to clean out. This was a brand new copy- first listen out of sealed package. Making a note to self to avoid Death Waltz re-releases and seek out originals...

One of the worst pressings I've ever heard. Tons of surface noise and poor sound quality too. Gonna return it tomorrow!

My copy has zero issues, I listen to this before I go to sleep at least once a month and it sounds great every single time. Fantastic sound quality, fantastic packaging.

I agree too: this is a wonderful sounding press - clear and spacious with a great live sounding feel. Not as flat as it could be but still well worth getting your hands on.

I can't get over how remarkably bad this was pressed. Even after a VPI and playing it on solid equipment, it still sounds like ass.

Totally agree with some of the other reviews here, my copy has got to be one of the most silent I've heard in terms of unwanted clicks or any kind of surface noise. The sleeve is not fancy but that's hardly the point, what matters most is the quality of this pressing, which allows the listener to completely immerse in the mysterious, melancholic and utterly unique work from Badalamenti and Lynch.

Well David Cheppa mastered it so it must sound like shit; seems like it's this guy trademark sound to make everything sound laughably bad. Avoid at all costs. Too bad the design and packaging are beautiful...

It actually sounds wonderful provided you don't get a bum pressed copy. Listen to it first bro.

I recently had the opportunity to compare this pressing to an Original German Pressing. This pressing is superior. Much more detail and presence. It is also quieter (my original is very clean) Also, I had previously mentioned that the back artwork was a little low-res, But it seems this was the same for the original. This releases just has the contrast boosted a little bit, so it looks slightly more grainy on the back. Highly recommended.

One my side, not as perfect as other have advertised:- presentation is simple but OK. Flat black 180 LP. Who need a stupid (and bad) Death Waltz press anyway ?!- a certain amount of clicks & pops throughout the whole record, like i got a vintage copy. This amount of noise isn't usually a problem when you got the record for 5 bucks and when listening to rock but here, it's a pretty chill soundtrack so it's a bit disappointing.

Clean it and if that doesn't resolve the noise ask to exchange it for another copy.

Returned my first copy, and the replacement sounds just as shitty. Snap! Crackle! Pop! That's after TWO trips through the Spin Clean and a healthy de-staticism. Fucking bullshit.

Great soundstage and sonically impressive but on my both copies there is background noise even after cleaning with RCM. That ruins a little bit this great LP.

I'm bummed to see everyone's had bad luck with this pressing but my copy sounds phenomenal. It's gorgeous, with basically no surface noise. The wax is warped, yes, but not so much that it affects playback. I guess I should consider myself lucky!

It largely depends on your stylus. On my Denon DL-160 it sounds relatively quiet but flat. With 440MLb the surface noise is unbearable and even louder than the music itself, but the sound (apart from the crap) is much more involving.

Top packaging but copy sounds like shit : a reissue to avoid.

After listening to this a few times, it seems my copy isn't as bad as most other people's here, probably because mine somehow didn't get warped at all. However side 2 has a ton of noise, and even the first side isn't great. Would not buy again.

They should be ashamed of this nonsense. You can't just make a handcrafted wooden box for your mom and fill it with turds (unless you strongly disrespect her). Very poor pressing.

I'm finally listening and have to admit this sounds truly bad. The colored vinyl and artwork is cool but in the end it's about the audio. The cracking can't be ignored and especially for a brand new sealed record that's inexcusable sorry.

My copy is useless, despite nice visible condition. I don't know if it's damaged or badly pressed, but there's a huge bump on it.

My copy sounds good. It's quiet, with little to no surface noise, and the sound is smooth and clear. It's not quite as phenomenal as the WB/Rhino pressing of Fire Walk With Me or my copy of The Return, but it's much better than a lot of the reviews I've read of this pressing. And I like the design and the packaging, myself. No complaints. Maybe I just got lucky? First time for everything.

Same thing with me, did all the cleaning tricks I have and still horribly noisy. More clicks and pops than most of my thrift store purchases. Cool looking vinyl though....

I bought the M83 Oblivion sound track by mondo a few years back and that was also a noisy off centre crap pressing. Disappointed. I wouldn't buy anything else from them. Their stuff is for putting on the shelf, looking at and not listening to.
